Description: This park centers around the dormant Volcán Turrialba 3,328 m, (10,982 feet). Getting to the summit requires a four-wheel drive vehicle. After hiking to the top you will be rewarded with a cloud forest and three craters. There is good rustic overnight facilities in the area. You will also want to visit the nearby Monumento Nacional Guayabo, which is the largest and most important archaeological site in Costa Rica.
